According to the 9/2021 Fire Decree, burning should be avoided when local weather conditions are conducive to the initiation and rapid spread of fire.
On Friday 12/04/2024, Saturday 13/04/2024 and Sunday 14/04/2024 fire weather conditions are expected in Kythera which favour the rapid spread of fire (strong winds, drought, drought, drought, etc.) and therefore any outdoor burning is prohibited. To ensure the above, patrols will be carried out by the Kythera Fire Brigade and the civil protection of the Municipality.

We note that violators of the 9/2021 Fire Order will be imposed an administrative fine of five hundred (500) euros, and if a fire is caused, the culprit will be prosecuted and prosecuted in accordance with applicable law.
