The Kythera Police Department announces to the owners of hunting weapons where the licence to possess a shotgun expires, to come to the police station (upon request) to renew them with the required documents. In case of expiry they risk the confiscation of the weapon and their referral to the Prosecutor of Piraeus.
Also, holders of hunting weapons licences are requested to which have expired to contact us directly for their renewal.
In case of death of the holder of the shotgun, the licence to possess a shotgun ceases to be valid automatically, and its heirs are obliged to submit the necessary documents to the Public Prosecutor's Office of their place of permanent residence.

Documents required for renewal:
1. A medical certificate from a physician in a sealed envelope.
2. A psychiatric doctor's certificate in a sealed envelope.
3. Two ( 02 ) simple colour photographs for each weapon
4. One ( 01 ) electronic fee for each weapon as follows:
EUR 2,04 - code: 6025 for licences in force
EUR 10,20 - code: 6193 for expired licences
