The Bishops of Aetolia and Acarnania Kosmas and Kythera - Antikythera Seraphim sent a letter to the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece. Their letter concerns the issue of the celebration of Holy Week and Easter.
First of all, the two High Priests express their thanks, because this Easter all the Holy Churches will remain open for the faithful.
They also underline their opposition to the change of the time of the Resurrection ceremony and then of the Divine Liturgy.
«The Divine Liturgy which is celebrated on the Holy Sabbath before midnight, that is, before we enter into Sunday, which begins after the twelfth night, cannot be considered a Paschal Mass. This is what the living Orthodox Ecclesiastical Tradition prescribes.» the two Hierarchs say, among other things, to the Holy Synod.
