Donald Trump ruled yesterday Sunday that Joe Biden should resign because of the Taliban's victory in Afghanistan and because of his successor's mismanagement of other problems, such as the new coronavirus pandemic, in the White House.
«It is time for Joe Biden to be disgraced for allowing what happened in Afghanistan to happen, as well as for the staggering increase in cases of the new coronavirus, the devastation at the border, the suppression of our energy independence and the paralysis of our economy,» the Republican former president argued in a press release.
Biden's resignation «is not that big of a deal, given that he was not elected in a legitimate way», added Mr Trump, who continues to insist, without presenting any proof, that he won the 2020 elections.
The tycoon, who oversaw the negotiations with the Taliban in which the withdrawal of the American troops remaining in Afghanistan was agreed, is apparently planning to put the entire burden of responsibility for the developments in the Asian country on his successor.
«What Joe Biden did in Afghanistan is legendary. It will go down in history as one of America's greatest defeats,» he argued in an earlier press release issued yesterday, Sunday.
