More than 10,000 farmers received the first installment of 278.5 million euros under the Young Farmers program, as government spokesperson Yiannis Oikonomou noted in a Twitter post. Mr. Oikonomou noted that the program’s total budget amounts to 525 million euros and has been increased by 105 million euros to allow more candidates to join the program.
