George Mazonakis filed lawsuits against his relatives in connection with his confinement at the Dromokaiteio Hospital.
The well-known singer arrived on Friday morning (September 12) at the Evelpidon Courthouse, where he filed the relevant lawsuits. Speaking to reporters, he emphasized that, beyond his personal case, he would address the broader issue of involuntary hospitalization, which—as he said—is not properly implemented in Greece.
When asked whether a surveillance device had been found in his home, Giorgos Mazonakis replied, «You’ll hear all about it soon.».
Specifically, in his remarks, Giorgos Mazonakis stated: «I will discuss my hospitalization at Dromokaiteio Hospital on the eve of the Feast of the Virgin Mary, please. That is one reason I am here. The second is that I will address involuntary hospitalization, which is not properly implemented in Greece, and many people have reached out to me asking if I can help improve the situation—to help ensure that people aren’t institutionalized without cause and against their will. I’ve received a great many messages from the public; you’ll hear all about it soon.».
