In the presence of a large number of people and representatives of the political and state leadership, the great military parade in Thessaloniki took place with great splendour at 11 in the morning. At 13.30 the F-16 piloted by Captain George Sotiriou of the famous «Zeus» Demonstration Group took off.
Armoured tanks and leopards impressed the attendees, while F16 and mirage fighters flew in perfect formations over Thermaikos.
Furthermore, the government was represented by Defence Minister Nikos Dendias, PASOK was represented by its President Nikos Androulakis and SYRIZA by the President of its Parliamentary Group, Nikos Pappas.
