Dear compatriots,
friends,
I would like to congratulate the Mayor Mr. Harhalakis and his combination for their re-election and wish a fruitful productive and hopefully with consensus and cooperation a new term of office to take our islands forward on the road of development and progress.
The big bet for me personally, both during the pre-election and post-election period, is to tackle the population decline on our islands. This is, in my opinion, the biggest problem we face as a place.
I would like to congratulate and thank our leader Zacharias Souris and the entire «All Together» team for the great, selfless and honest fight for our islands.
I declare that from the position that the Kythiraikos People have ranked me, I will be present, as I was in the previous term, in all developments concerning our islands and our Municipality.
On a personal level, first of all I would like to thank my wife Irene and my family for their unreserved support and understanding throughout the years I have been active in the community.
Friends, you have placed me second in the «All Together» combination, giving me 251 votes. I feel a great honour and responsibility for your support and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and promise you that I will defend in every way the common good and the needs of our local community.
As for those who could not support me, but who know me well for my daily action and contribution, I want to promise them that I will continue to fight for them as well.
I thank them and I will be here to prove that lost battles are only battles that are not fought.
We move forward All Together united in the hope that at the end of the day, good will win.
