The film opens with shots of the driver as he gets into the car, followed by shots on the move from Kato Livadi, a village of Kythera. We watch the small picturesque houses in the village, a shepherd with his sheep moving along the road into the village and clumps of trees lining the narrow road.
Just before the Katouni Bridge we meet a rider on a donkey and then we move on the road to the stone bridge at Katouni overlooking the white stone houses of the village. Tsirigotes chose to decorate their first postcards with a similar background in December 1900 with Eleftheroudakis as the publisher at the time.
The film closes with views of the stone bridge and details of its arches.
The bridge of Katouni was built during the period of the English rule with the imposition of the chore and is the largest Greek bridge and technical work of the English in Kythera. It is supported on 13 arches and 12 gates, with a length of 110 metres.
The bridge was built according to the plans of Evaristo de Chirico and under the supervision of the English engineer John McPhail.

The stone bridge of Katouni was built during the British Domination and it is one of the largest built in Greece and the greatest technological achievement of the British on the island. The bridge is supported by 13 symmetric arches with 12 cylindrical openings and has a length of 110 meters.
