Ο George Pavlakis, Ph.D., Syracuse University, USA, sounded the alarm on the transmission of pandemic and the Delta mutation.
Speaking to SKAI on Thursday morning, the Greek scientist warned that vaccinations alone are not enough to stop the pandemic wave, as he said, if the virus is allowed to run rampant, a tsunami will come and Greece will have 100 deaths a day.
He also called for serious measures to limit people's contacts, such as closing bars and stopping meetings.. It says «no» to a holiday unless everyone is vaccinated and undergoes a rapid test on the same day.
«Look at the curve of infections and deaths, you will see that we are in the tsunami right now, with ever-increasing cases. It's the most dangerous thing, it can even catalyse Germany's mighty health system,» he noted.
It is, he stressed, an indisputable reality that this wave is maintained by both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated, saying that «The Delta is not dampened by inoculation.“.
“When we keep claiming that this epidemic is an epidemic of unvaccinated people, this is a mistake and it becomes a lie. It leads to disorientation.”.
