South Korean actor Oh Yong-soo, who most of us know through the Netflix phenomenon series «Squid Game», in which he played «001», has been accused of sexual misconduct.
According to Variety, prosecutors in the city of Sugon indicted him on Thursday, Nov. 24, for an incident involving inappropriate touching of a woman that allegedly took place in 2017.
The actor was subsequently released.
This information «is not inaccurate,» an official at the Suwon prosecutor's office in Seoul's southern suburbs told AFP, without elaborating.
According to the South Korean media, the country's Ministry of Culture subsequently decided to discontinue an advertising campaign featuring Oh Yong-soo.
78-year-old Oh Yong-soo is the first Korean actor to win a Golden Globe, an award he won for his performance in «Squid Game».
