The Foundation clarifies that its official positions are expressed exclusively through the announcements and documents it issues, distinguishing them from the personal views of members of its Board of Directors.
At the same time, it believes that the views on both sides have now been presented at length and that further public debate would add nothing new. Finally, he points out that following the lawsuit filed by the Municipality of Alimos against the Trifyllio Foundation regarding the issue in question, the case has now been referred to the courts, which will rule on it.
The following is the official statement from the Trifyllio Foundation of Kythira, reproduced verbatim:
«In response to the September 15, 2026, reply from the Board of Directors of the Cultural and Beautification Association of the Kythira District of Alimos to an article in the newspaper «Kythiraika,» which appeared in the online edition of the aforementioned newspaper yesterday, in which an attempt is made to implicate our Foundation, we are compelled to clarify certain matters which, we believe, are self-evident to most people.
In other words, our Foundation expresses itself through the announcements and documents it issues, as was indeed the case with the letter sent to it by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Nea Smyrni, to whom, as was his duty, it sent the response that has already been published. However, it is the inalienable right of every member of the Board of Directors—and all the more so if that member is also a journalist—to hold their own views and to express them wherever they see fit. The views on both sides have already been extensively and repeatedly expressed and published, so any further discussion on this matter is not only superfluous but also tiresome. Moreover, following the lawsuit filed by the Municipality of Alimos against our Foundation regarding the matter of the pending donation, the entire issue will be definitively decided by the Greek courts.’.
