Due to the strong winds blowing in the wider area of Kythera and after the recent incidents of fire outbreaks due to negligence, residents are requested not to burn branches and other agricultural debris.
In the event of a fire, all procedures provided by law will be followed.
The Fire Brigade is always there for the citizen, advising and reminding the measures to be taken to prevent a fire from starting.
Avoid burning dry grass, rubbish and straw in the open air.
- Avoid all outdoor work that may cause a fire (welding, using a wheel or a tool that sparks sparks).
