The singer died in the early hours of Wednesday, November 10, at the age of 68, Christos Kyriazis, following a battle with the cancer.
Christos Kyriazis was born in 1953 in Piraeus and grew up in Kaminia. His father worked as a furniture maker, and following in the family tradition, he, too, learned the craft. However, he never hid his love for music. Throughout his life, his name was also associated with furniture making.
He formed the band «Prokes» (1972), as well as «Mirabilis Zalapa» and «What a pity.».
He had a huge hit with the song «You Remind Me of My Mother,» and the album went platinum, selling over 125,000 copies.
