The faction «All Together, Kythira – Antikythira» welcomes the decision of the Council of State, which states that the Domestic Property Committee will exclusively manage the Holy Shrines of Kythera. The faction points out that this success is due to the unity of the residents of Kythera and Antikythera.
They also ask the Mayor Mr. Harhalaki to respond to the allegations of the Bishop of Kythera, Mr. Seraphim for his earlier support of the Church in claiming the shrines.
Finally, they stress that unity is necessary to address the problems of the islands and call on everyone to take a stand on the CoE's decision. Read the bulletin:
Unity gives solutions!
-We welcome the decision of the Council of State by which the administration and management of the Holy Shrines of Kythera will now be exclusively carried out by the Commission of Domestic Property.
-This decision is due to the unity and determination of Cypriots and Antikytherians. Without it, no success would have been possible.
-We consider it our duty to emphasize the unanimously positive attitude of the Property Committee and the Municipality of Kythera-Antikythera. We certainly expect Mr. Harhalakis to answer the allegations of Metropolitan Seraphim that in the recent past the Mayor supported the claim of the pilgrimages by the Church...
-We believe that Kytherians and Antikytherians, united together, we can demand from the government and all kinds of officials, solutions to the problems of our islands (transport, education, accuracy, infrastructure projects, etc.) No «enlightened leader», no party, no collective alone can achieve what we can all together. This does not mean that we will stop criticizing the failures and incompetence of the Municipal Authority.
-We are waiting for those who allegedly have privileged relations with the church (for obvious reasons) to comment on the decision of the CoE. When the sovereign rights of Cypriots and Antikytherians are at stake, it is not enough to play volleyball...
