New measures - Flexible working hours: Five waves of workers back to work

Rolling working hours arrival and departure of the employees, the government announced. For the rolling working hours, the Thanos Plevris noted that it will be done to decongest both workplaces and transport, but there will also be specific retail hours. Specifically, the hours in retail stores are set from 10 am to 9 pm every day.

The goal is per half time and within 2,5 hours workers arrive and leave in relation to the start and end of their working hours respectively. In particular, rolling time will start at 07.00 until 09.30.
It will be applied, i.e., attendance and departure from work in 5 waves in the private and public sector.

What changes from Monday

Specifically from Monday (22/11):

  • The workplaces will be on a rolling timetable from 07:00 to 09:30.
  • In the retail sector, shops will be open every day from 10:00 to 21:00 on weekdays.

Five waves of workers' attendance

Workers will be able to work in waves as follows:

  • The first wave at 07:00 am.
  • The second wave at 07:30am.
  • The third wave at 08:00 am.
  • The fourth wave at 08:30 am.
  • The fifth wave at 09.00 am.

Workers should train in waves as follows:

  • The first wave at 15:00 p.m.
  • The second wave at 15:30 p.m.
  • The third wave at 16:00 p.m.
  • The fourth wave at 16:30 p.m.
  • The fifth wave at 17.00 p.m.
