Since Sunday morning, the rescue team in Kythera continues to search for missing persons. As reported by ERT's envoy to the island of Kythera, Alexandros Kalafatis, a short while ago another dead body was found, while yesterday 6 bodies were recovered, of which one has reportedly been identified.
The operation of the Coast Guard's frogmen at the site of the wreck is ongoing. Next to the steep ravine where the sailboat struck is a cave where it is feared that there may be several lifeless bodies.
A total of eighty foreigners (55 men, 7 women, 17 boys, 1 girl) have been rescued so far, while in the afternoon hours yesterday 6 bodies of migrants (4 men and 2 women) were found and retrieved by members of the MIA and transferred to the hospital of Kalamata.
