Personal Doctor: Over 2.5 million citizens have registered

«Already, more than 2.5 million of us have chosen our personal doctor, the personal health advisor that every Greek man and woman can now have for free to monitor our health on a regular basis,» notes Minister of State Akis Skertsos, in a post.

He notes that «Starting October 1, the digital appointment platform will be available to those who sign up, making visits to our doctors even easier, without the hassle and long lines. The positive achievements of the digital vaccination campaign are being leveraged and expanded to other services within our valuable national health system. We are investing in primary care and prevention to ensure better individual and public health for all of us.».

How to Register

Citizens who have not yet done so on their own can already go to pharmacies to sign up for this service.

Citizens can now choose from three different options:

1) through the platform for registering with a personal physician (https://ehealth.gov.gr/p-rv/p), where users log in using their Taxisnet credentials and their AMKA number.

2) in person at a primary health care facility or with a personal physician, bringing along their AMKA and, for identification purposes only, an identification document (e.g., ID card) or a photocopy.

3) at his or her local pharmacy, bringing along his or her AMKA and, for identification purposes only, an identification document (e.g., ID card) or a photocopy thereof.

Once registration is complete, the citizen receives an informational SMS or / and an email confirming that their registration with that specific personal physician has been completed, along with their personal login credentials for online access to their Personal Electronic Health Record.

Those who do not have a cell phone will receive them exclusively in printable format. Minors who have not yet reached the age of 16 cannot yet register with a personal physician.

Pharmacists are paid once per AMKA in all cases, with a fee set at 3 euros before VAT 24%.

Payment will be made on a monthly basis via a service invoice issued at the beginning of each following month, for posted transactions retrieved from IDIKA for specific time periods.
