Experiential music and singing workshop for children aged 8 to 12 years old

The workshop «Singing we play» invites our young friends aged 8 to 12 years old to enjoy artistic expression and creation by learning to perform songs from the Greek and European musical tradition. Through experiential exercises, rhythmic games and body percussion, children will taste the beauty of collaboration in musical, vocal and instrumental performance, cultivate their vocal skills and develop rhythmic perception, while becoming familiar with percussive rhythm instruments (maracas, sticks, drums, psaltery, tambourines, tambourines, scrapers) and their different materials of construction. At the end of the workshop our little friends will present a unique concert to the audience.
Previous involvement with music is not a prerequisite for participation in the programme.

Singing Wave
Experiential music and singing workshop for teenagers

The workshop «Singing Wave» is addressed to those who love singing and artistic creation, aiming at the experiential experience of music and rhythm through the activation of the voice and the body. Participants will have the opportunity to cultivate their vocal skills and develop rhythm using as their tools traditional songs of Greece and other countries that draw their inspiration from the sea. Using the methods of improvisation, experiential exercises and rhythmic games with percussion instruments (maracas, sticks, drums, pianos, tambourines, scrapers), the members of the workshop group will become familiar with polyphonic singing through the group performance of rhythmic and melodic patterns while developing their rhythmic perception. At the end of the workshop, the participants will present a unique concert to the audience.

Dancing with Don Quixote
Dance workshop for children aged 8 to 15 years old

The workshop «Dancing with Don Quixote» invites children aged 8 to 15 years old to a fun introduction to classical dance that they will never forget. The dancers of the ELS travel to Skiathos to introduce our little ones to the fairytale world of ballet. Drawing inspiration from Ludwig Minkus' Don Quixote, one of the most popular works in the classical ballet repertoire, children will learn the basic terminology of classical dance and experience the joy of creation and spontaneous artistic expression with music and dance as their tools. At the end of the workshop, the children will present a unique performance to the audience.
The workshop is addressed to children aged 8 to 15 years old.

Workshop hours:
- Group A (8 to 12 years old): 16.00-17.45
- Group B (13 to 15 years old): 18.00-19.45
