The Mobile Medical Units (MMUs), an initiative of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, completed their mission in Kythera, offering free medical services to the residents. However, the maritime isolation of the island caused problems in their departure, as there was no ship available to leave. The doctors of the KIM, who had come to provide medical care, found themselves stranded on the island, as the the Aqua Jewel routes have been interrupted, while the Neapolis ferry is in annual immobilisation until 10 March.
Today, a boat attempted to pick them up from Agia Pelagia, but because of extreme weather conditions, the approach to the port was considered dangerous. Finally, after a change of plan, the boat managed to approach the port of Agia Patricia, where the doctors safely boarded and left the island.

The maritime crisis continues
