The new laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours in Greece are 19,618, of which 47 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates.
The total number of cases is 2,109,999 (daily change +0.9%), of which 49.7% are males. Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 376 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,211 are associated with an already known case.
The Rt for the territory based on cases is estimated at 0.98 (95% IC: 0.89 - 1.07).
There are 87 new deaths of Covid-19 patients, with a total of 24,410 deaths recorded since the start of the pandemic. 95.1% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 515 (61.7% men). Their median age is 66 years. 84.9% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 395 (76.7%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 120 (23.3%) are fully vaccinated.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,116 patients have been discharged from intensive care units. The admissions of new Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 441 (daily change +4.01%). The seven-day average admission rate is 451 patients. The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
