There have been 7 new laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in the last 24 hours.287, of which 6 were identified following screenings at the country’s entry points. The total number of cases stands at 886,207 (daily change +0.8%), of which 50.6% are men. Based on confirmed cases over the past 7 days, 87 are considered travel-related, and 2,477 are linked to a previously known case.
There were 105 new deaths among Covid-19 patients, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 17,425. 95.41% of the deceased had an underlying medical condition and/or were 70 years of age or older.
The number of patients hospitalized and intubated is 608 (601 TP3T men). Their median age is 65 years. 81.7% have an underlying medical condition and/or are 70 years of age or older. Among the patients currently hospitalized and intubated, 503 (82.73%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 105 (17.27%) are fully vaccinated.
Since the start of the pandemic, 3,446 patients have been discharged from ICUs. There were 391 new COVID-19 admissions to hospitals nationwide (daily change: +1,56%). The seven-day average of admissions is 437 patients.
The median age of cases is 38 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
