OPEN, always close to tradition and Hellenism, honours this year the memory of the innocent Greeks of Pontus. Along with his great tribute to the anniversary of the Genocide of the Pontians on May 19, will screen the entire story of the hit series that was loved by the TV audience, «The Red River», through four specially edited, exciting TV movies, scheduled to take place on 17, 18, 19 & 20 May, on 21.00, in OPEN. A special Director's Cut of Manousos Manousakis which gives cinematic life to the landmark series of recent years.
A year and a half since the first episode of the series that captivated viewers was aired, the messages being projected are more relevant than ever. Manousos Manousakis' sensational series, based on the book of the same name by Harry Tsirkinidis, tells in the most vivid way the history of the Greeks of Pontus and all the atrocities they suffered. But through the love story of Miltos and Iphigenia, the message of optimism and hope is conveyed.
The OPEN does not forget and pays tribute to the 353,000 innocent victims, keeping the candle of remembrance lit. For four consecutive nights, The Red River will once again unfold its plot, taking us back in time and our long-suffering history.
