The Kythira and Antikythira Local Property Commission announces that the process of leasing the property located in Gythio to the Greek State (Hellenic Police) following a convoluted bureaucratic and judicial process that lasted approximately four years (including the COVID-19 pandemic), at double the rent of the COMPULSORY LEASE imposed by the court ruling years ago—a ruling that was not even upheld on appeal— even though, according to that ruling, the State could have remained in that lease and, of course, paid the rent specified therein.
It should be noted that the rent for the years 2017, 2018, and 2019 (approximately 35,000.00 euros) had not been paid because the minimum essential work specified in the court ruling had not been carried out. Following our repeated interventions with the relevant government agencies, these funds were reallocated and deposited into the Myrtidia bank account.
