The Kythira Association of Athens announced the sad news, expressing its deepest sorrow over the young man’s untimely death. In a moving statement signed by the Association’s President, the deceased is described as a kind, calm, and exceptionally admirable person, deeply loved by all who knew him.
Haris, 32, had been an active member of the Association’s dance troupe since childhood. In its message of condolence, the Kythira Association of Athens particularly highlights his presence at cultural events, noting that when he danced the traditional Tsirigotiko dances «he didn’t stomp—he flew, low, calmly, rhythmically,» likening his quiet and sudden passing to the flight of an angel.
