The possibility of new curfew measures being imposed on the France to halt the spread of COVID-19 as cases continue to increase, the French Deputy Minister of State for European Affairs told BFM TV, Clemente Bonne.
France recorded more than 12,500 new cases yesterday, Sunday coronavirus, and it was the third day that their number exceeded 10,000, as the rapid spread of the most contagious variant Delta strain of coronavirus has led to an increase in new cases.
The French Minister of State for European Affairs also noted that Britain's imposition of restrictions on those arriving in the country from France seems rather “excessive”.
London has announced that those coming from France will be quarantined for 10 days after entering Britain.
“We do not believe that the UK's decisions are entirely based on scientific grounds. We find them excessive,” he added in his remarks to BFM TV.
