CONCERNING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPERTY
PROPERTY OF THE CLOVERLEAF INSTITUTION OF KYTHIRA AT THE SALT

With the announcement of 8/1/2024 by the Kythiria Area Association of Alimos «Myrtidiotissa» and the announcement of 15/1/2024 by the Kythiria Foundation of Trifyllion regarding the utilization of the Kythiria Cultural Centre in Alimos, Attica, the Boards of Directors of the above Kythirian Associations and Foundations unanimously have decided the following:
- All actions to the competent state agencies (Ministry of Finance, Region of Attica and KESYPOTHA) regarding the utilization of the land with a total surface area of 3.431,50 sq.m., which is located in Alimos, Attica, owned by the Trifyllion Foundation of Kytheria and which were made with the sole purpose of securing resources for the operation of the Kythera Nursing Home, have our full approval.
- Everything that had preceded resulted in October 2015 in the signing of a notarized amendment to the way of donation by the Kytheria Building Cooperative «Panagia Myrtidiotissa» for the development of the property and the terms of this agreement have been fully complied with, as stated in the detailed announcement of 15/1/2024 by the Trifyllion Foundation of Kytheria, which owns the property in question.
- The resources and benefits that will result from the construction of houses and the Spiritual Centre, in accordance with the building conditions of the area, will be used exclusively to cover the financial needs of the Kythera Nursing Home, which was and remains in deficit with the losses covered by the Kytheria Trifyllion Foundation on an annual basis, but also, as far as the Spiritual Centre is concerned, for the use of the residents, since it will be used by the Kytheria Alimos Area Association.
- The change of use sought by the Municipality of Alimos, only for this particular plot, contrary to everything that applies in the rest of the area, is discriminatory and unfair and directly contradicts the spirit and the letter of the donation of the Kytheria Building Cooperative «Panagia Myrtidiotissa» to the Kytheria Foundation, and will certainly result in the perpetuation of the present situation, without any use of the property, which is an important asset.
In continuation of the above, the Kytherian Associations and Foundations support the effort of the Trifyllion Foundation of Kytheria to exploit the property of Alimos with the aim of defending the public benefit purpose of the Foundation, always keeping the commitments it has undertaken to respect the way.
