The Association CeriGo issued by press release, expressing his strong protest against the continuing deterioration the main ferry line connecting Kythera with Piraeus.
According to the statement, despite repeated protests, the island re-experiencing the unreliability of his connection, as the ship “Aqua Jewel” Retrieved from without notice from its scheduled transport project, although it is generously subsidised to serve the line.

Despite our repeated protests, for another year we are experiencing the unreliability and degradation of the basic ferry line connecting our island with Piraeus.
Outside of any planning, understanding and spirit of cooperation, the ship “Aqua Jewel” abandoned the transport project for which it is generously subsidized, isolating the island from the rest of Greece. This immediately caused suffocating conditions for the supply of businesses and the movement of residents.
Just a year before the start of the new tourist season, these phenomena only cause us grief and anxiety and as residents and Tourism Professionals we strongly complain to all those responsible.
Despite the fact that we are following with satisfaction the success of the efforts for the replacement of the ship, the demand of our Association for a SOLID AND definitive solution remains firm and unyielding.
