An important event of remembrance and historical reference is organized by the Association of Public Benefit Projects of Mylopotamos Kythera, in cooperation with Kythiraikos Association of Athens, on Sunday November 23, 2025, on 12:00, in the hall of the Triphyleion Foundation (5 Themistokleous 5, Athens - 7th floor).
The title of the event is:
«From Mylopotamos of Kythera to the glory of the Pindos Epopoias»
The conference is dedicated to the participation of Kytherians in the war of 1940-41, focusing on Emmanuel Zervos from Mylopotamos of Kythera. Through the war diary of Zervos, personal testimonies and experiences from the Pindos front are highlighted.

The historical context of the event will be presented by Kaiti Aroni-Tsichli, Professor Emeritus at Panteion University and President of the H.C.M., on the topic:
«The Diary of Kytherios Emm. Zervos» Diary of Emmanuel Zervos on the war of 1940-41 as a historical source and as a personal experience"
