A special event of culture and creative expression is prepared by the students of the first classes of the Primary School of Chora - Karvounades in Kythera. On Saturday, May 17, at 19:00 in the afternoon, at the Old Agora (Mercato) of Chora, the opening of the exhibition «Painting meets Poetry» will take place.
It is an action that combines the power of the image with the sensitivity of the word, through the works of the students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. The children, under the guidance of their teachers, created paintings inspired by poems, or conversely, wrote poems inspired by their paintings. The result is a unique canvas of children's imagination and expression, which promises to move young and old alike.
The invitation is addressed to the entire local community of Kythera, with the note that the presence of visitors will especially honour the young creators. The exhibition aspires to give a voice to children and highlight the importance of artistic expression in school life.
