Crowds of people have been present since the morning at the Church of God's Wisdom in Thessaloniki where the body of the iconic folk performer Vassilis Karras has been placed on a popular pilgrimage.
The courtyard, as well as the public spaces around the church, have been overwhelmed by thousands of fans of Vassilis Karras who are waiting in line to say their last goodbye to their beloved singer.
Vassilis Karras passed away at the age of 70. The funeral service and burial of the performer will take place on Wednesday, December 27, in his village, Kokkinochori, Kavala.
