After eight years, the New Year's cake cutting ceremony of the Municipal and Community Organization of Kythira took place on Friday, January 20, at 9:00 p.m. in Livadi, Kythira. The event was honored by the presence of the Member of Parliament for Piraeus and the Islands, Mr. Manolakos Nikolaos, the Head of the ’People First« coalition, Mr. Magoulas Nikolaos, the Director of the General Hospital of Kythira, Mr. Megalokonomos, and the Holy Metropolis of Kythira through its representative. Unfortunately, severe weather conditions and other commitments prevented many friends of the Municipal and Regional Authority of Kythira from attending the event, but they sent their greetings, best wishes, and love. Among them were the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms. Zacharaki Sofia, the Deputy Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Member of Parliament for Piraeus and Islands, Mr. Katsafados Kostas, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ms. Michailidou Domna, and Member of Parliament for Piraeus and Islands Mr. Boutsakis Emmanouil Christoforos. The President of DIM.T.O. N.D. of Kythira and host of the event, Mr. Antonis Mavrommatis, thanked all the members, referred to the achievements of the year, proceeded with the cutting of the pie, and gave the signal to start the unique evening. The celebration and the entire event demonstrated the unity and momentum of the entire party on the island, proving the potential of the new infrastructure that is being put in place, creating a promising, creative, and confident outlook for the 2023 election.
