The 36-year-old artist, while at home in a village in the municipality of Malevizi, suffered a heart attack and died in front of his wife and two minor children.
The authorities were immediately mobilized and an ambulance of the ambulance service rushed to the scene, but the rescuers did not manage to bring him back to life.
The news of his death plunged his family, friends and the local community into mourning.
The funeral is expected to take place today at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at the Corners.
