A 53-year-old man allegedly fatally wounded his 46-year-old wife with a knife in the apartment where they lived in Koukaki.
In particular, according to initial information from police sources, shortly after 1 am, the alleged perpetrator stabbed the unfortunate woman in the apartment they lived in Matrozou Street and then fled.
The 46-year-old woman was spotted by her 24-year-old son who alerted the emergency services. When officers arrived on the scene they found the woman dead in a pool of blood.
After the murder of his wife, the 53-year-old man took his car and as he was driving on Athens - Sounion Avenue at the height of Thymari beach, he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into rocks.
The 53-year-old was picked up by an ambulance of the ambulance service that transported him to the KAT hospital, where he is under guard.
