The warrior Macbeth, returning victorious after great battles, is haunted by a witch prophecy that wants him to become King of Scotland. Influenced by the oracle and his arrogance fueled by Lady Macbeth, he decides to kill King Duncan and become King in his place. He then commits other crimes so that his reign is not in jeopardy. But his punishment is not long in coming.
The story of Macbeth demonstrates in the most poignant and poetic way, the power that fear exerts on the soul and the body. Murder turns out to be a main feature of the human condition, a sad realization that makes us reflect on the fact that if we do not kill in our lives, it is not by choice, but by chance.
